Introduction
Welcome to the WRF/WRFDA/WRF-Chem/MPAS Users' Support Forum.
Please read the GUIDELINES & SUGGESTIONS below.

REGISTRATION:
- You must create an account to post.
- First-time posts will need manager approval (may take 2-3 business days).


POSTING TOPICS:
**BEFORE POSTING, use the search utility to verify whether a solution to your inquiry already exists. **
- Post inquiries to the relevant forum or sub-forum.
- Open a new topic (under the appropriate forum) for each new question.
- State problem or error in the subject line.
- Attach relative files (e.g., namelists, error logs)
- Select "Notify me when a reply is posted" box (when posting an inquiry)
- Do not post inquiries more than once, or in multiple locations.
- If having WRF/WPS compiling problems, please first see the WRF/WPS Compiling web page and ensure you have completed all steps and passed all tests.


ATTACHING FILES:
- While text box is open, select tab with 3 horizontal lines to attach files. If getting an "unrecognized suffix" error, add ".txt" to the end of the file and try again.
- Avoid posting screen shots of error messages, as the content is not searchable.
- If attaching packaged files, use zipped or .tar format (not .rar format).
- If files are too large to upload, package files as a single .tar file, and upload to our Nextcloud storage, and then let us know the file name or link to the file. You may also download files that have been placed in Nextcloud.


RESPONSES:
- The NCAR team tries to reply to inquiries in a timely manner, but it can sometimes take a few days due to other obligations.
- The NCAR team does not work nights, weekends, or holidays.
- We welcome experienced users to respond to inquiries. This can help expedite the response process.
