Dear kwerner, sorry for my late reply/feedback, but I wanted to be sure that all my simulations finish successful: I did around 400 individual simulations (36 hours) with more than 50 not finishing successful, when I posted the first message. Most of them stopped at quite different simulation steps ...

Dear kwerner,

many thanks for your help.
I uploaded the rsl.error files to the cloud. Filename is KB_rsl.error.tar

Best regards,

(SOLVED) Segmentation fault after CAM-CLWRF co2vmr

namelist.input Dear all, I try to run a simulation (WRF3.8.1) with input from ECHAM6. I did a lot of simulations for other days with a quite similar configuration, but this error appears for some runs/days: d04 2004-09-21_12:04:00 CAM-CLWRF co2vmr: 3.790000046137720E-004 n2ovmr: 3.190000086306100E-...

Re: ERA5 var129 (geopotential) grib2 - how to ungrib ?

Hi kwerner, Thanks for your request ! I figured out the problem. I should have read the WRF User guide more properly, as there is written: The "metgrid Units" and "metgrid Description" fields specify the units and a short description for the field, respectively; here, it is important to note that if...

(RESOLVED) ERA5 var129 (geopotential) grib2 - how to ungrib ?

Dear all, I have downloaded ERA5 data in model levels (grib2) from CDS. Ungrib for all variables works fine except for var129, the geopotential. g2print.exe provides the following information (after transforming it with 'cdo sp2gp' from spectral to gaussian coordinates): ungrib - grib edition num 2 ...

Re: ERA5 from CDS - g2print does not properly read timesteps ?

Ok, I found the problem also described in this great blog
http://www.iup.uni-bremen.de/~hilboll/b ... -with-wrf/
under Preparing IFS Grib files for ungrib.exe
Here it is recommended to split the file with CDO in one file per timestep.

Re: ERA5 from CDS - g2print does not properly read timesteps ?

I have read this topic and had contact with Andrea. In her case the problem was due to the definition of the region in the download script. The only other information potentially related to my problem from this thread is the violation of the grib1 standards but since I am expecting grib2 data from C...

(RESOLVED) ERA5 from CDS - g2print does not properly read timesteps ?

Dear all, I try to run WRF with ERA5 data on model levels downloaded from CDS. The download script for one variable is below: c.retrieve("reanalysis-era5-complete", { "class": "ea", "expver": "1", "stream": "oper", "type": "an", "param" : parameter_str+".128", "levtype": "ml", "levelist": "1/to/137"...
