Re: Bogus Storm STOP to 6 sec. (TC.exe)

Hi kwerner, I have already downloaded and compiled WRF 3.6.1 model version... The Users Guide mentions that users with multiple domains should horizontally-interpolate the generated meteorological fields to the fine-grid domains. How it is performed?.. -> In a @wrfhelp response with date; March 21, ...

Re: Bogus Storm STOP to 6 sec. (TC.exe)

Hi, At first I thought I could not stand any physics, then lower the time step, and always with the same fault. This is usually what the model says when it blew-up -> "Error_in_finding_100_hPa_up" I will download a 3.6.1 version and I will do a couple of tests. http://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/users/doc...

Bogus Storm STOP to 6 sec. (TC.exe)

Hello there, I have followed the tutorial here-> http://www2.mmm.ucar.edu/wrf/users/docs/user_guide_V3/users_guide_chap10.htm#TCBogus I created a bogus by modifying the namelist.input, then I executed the tc.exe and renamed the generated auxinput1_d01_<date> file output to: auxinput1_d01_<date> to t...

Move SRTM file location & run Geogrid.

Hello Mduda, I have downloaded SRTM data 3sec, and I have moved it to other coordinates on the planet, with the global mapper program. In principle I think I have done well and I have the problem when running the geogrid. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ...

Re: CLC Corine Land-Use into Geogrid -

Hello mgduda, I'm still drifting with this matter. With the following steps, I see that it conflicts with my SRTM terrain data at 3s, which used to work. (attached all these files compressed) My steps are: 1) I have a tif file georeferred to wgs84 (final.tif) 2) I use a python script to reclassify l...

Re: SRTM data into Geogrid -

Regarding the 25-m MDT data, there are a few points that you could verify: 1) Your index file has tile_x = 1200, tile_y = 1200, tile_z = 1, tile_bdr = 3, and wordsize = 4, so you could verify that your 00001-01200.00001-01200 file has a size of exactly (3 + 1200 + 3) * (3 + 1200 + 3) * 4 = 5817744 ...

Re: SRTM data into Geogrid -

When you ask "how could I verify that it is really 3s and has not made a resample to another size", are you asking whether the "convert_geotiff" program has resampled the data or whether geogrid has resampled the data? The geogrid program will interpolate from the native resolution of the data to y...

cu_physics (Kain-Fritsch (new Eta) scheme) WRF model stop -

Hello there, I am trying to use cu_physics (Kain-Fritsch (new Eta) scheme) with mp_physics (Ferrier (new Eta) microphysics), or some other combination with mp_physics but always withcu_physics Kain-Fritsch scheme and the model always stops or abort. I am currently running a simulation with the "old"...

Re: Error_in_finding_100_hPa_up -

Hello there, I am taking the model to the limit. It wasn't ARWpost's problem. Finally I setting the time_step from 30s to 20s "corrected" the problem (blew up), but in fact the model presents significant anomalies where the topography has a "very significant slope", especially in the field of surfac...

Error_in_finding_100_hPa_up -

Hello there, Running the ARWpost, I encounter this error. Hello Mduda, According to the procedure above, how could I verify that it is really 3s and has not made a resample to another size?.. Re: SRTM data into Geogrid -

Hello Mduda, It seems that this time it worked for me. I repeated the first method again. In any case, how could I verify that it is really 3s and has not made a resample to another size?....

Increase Eta level and decrease dzbot -

Hello there, I need to increase my number of eta vertical levels, increasing the levels to low levels. I have also modified these parameters dzstretch_s and dzstretch_u, but without success. e_vert = 4...
