write to netcdf issue

Hi all, I am encountering a weird issue when using WRF to write some output to netcdf. This is custom code, not in the general WRF model, but it has been used before successfully. When I compile the model in serial, what happens is some variables are being output to netcdf, and the netcdf file size ...

Re: "associated scalars" in WRF registry

Thanks very much for your thorough response to my question about the WRF Registry associated scalars, that was very helpful. If you don't mind I had two hopefully short follow-up questions about it. The main reason I was asking about this was that I have a case where WRF fails at the first time step...

"associated scalars" in WRF registry

Hi all, I am working with a customized version of WRF and trying to get something right about the declaration of a new package in Registry.EM_COMMON. Usually a package declaration looks something like this: package morr_two_moment mp_physics==10 - moist:qv,qc,qr,qi,qs,qg;scalar:qni, qns, qnr, qng where...

Re: compiling an ideal case with ifort/gcc combo

Hi, thanks for your reply. The model compiles and runs without any apparent issues using the ifort-gcc combination, so I thought things were fine until I ran the same experiment on the TACC machine. The models start to diverge not far into the run and ultimately give very different results. I trust ...

compiling an ideal case with ifort/gcc combo

Hi all, I have gotten different results from the same experiment using two different computers (one at TACC, and one a more ordinary work computer) and I'm trying to track down why the outcomes are so different. The only difference I can think of besides the computers themselves are the compiler opt...
