WRF 4.3 compile problems - eclipse?

Good day, I'm trying to build WRF4.3 on a Linux system that normally builds WRF without problems (lately, 4.2.2). This time I'm seeing a number of error messages connected to the new eclipse routines. In compiling module_radiation_driver.F, I get: rm -f module_radiation_driver.o sed -e "s/^\!.*'.*//...

Does RIP4 work with hybrid-vertical-coord. WRFv4 output?

I am writing to ask if anyone knows if the existing post-processing tools - including RIP, ARWpost, WRF Python utilities etc - should already work correctly with the hybrid vertical coordinate data in WRFv4? My guess is: yes, there is already sufficient information in the WRF history files for these...

Re: Error compiling RIP

Midhun, I hope you've found a solution by now but if not - it just sounds like the proper NetCDF library path is not set in the build file for RIP. Assuming you already did configure for RIP, you should double-check that the path to your netcdf library is correct. Messages like "undefined reference ...

Post-processing WRFv4 output on hybrid vert. coordinate

I wanted to be sure the following is true: Existing post-processing tools should work unmodified with the WRF v4+ hybrid vertical coordinate - they can use the standard output fields to carry out vertical interpolation (height, pressure, theta...) without any changes. I feel this should be true but ...

Re: ERROR 7 IN AREDAM - AREA-MAP ARRAY OVERFLOW

You made the changes that ought to have taken care of it, but a very noisy field would seem to be the source - or some issue with unrecognized missing values. I would try a contour plot without colorfill first, and I usually do so by plotting with no "cint" specified, so that RIP would choose. Then ...
