WRF 4.2 solar_diagnostics=1 RE_QC values -999

Hi,

Does anyone know why all the effective radius fields (RE_QC, RE_QI, RE_QS, RE_QC_TOT, RE_QI_TOT) are all default -999 values when using this new option (solar_diagnostics=1) in WRF V4.2.1 ?

I have tried multiple microphysics schemes, they all have the same problem.

Please use WRF version 4.2.2 and let me know if that fixes this issue.
You can use the reference WRF-Solar configuration available at the WRF-Solar website (https://ral.ucar.edu/projects/wrf-solar) for testing.

I downloaded 4.2.2, and rerun the simulation, now the RE_QC or RE_QI outputs are all zeros instead. But I checked LWP, IWP fields, they look good.

I will try if the reference WRF-Solar configuration will work.
