Hi,
I want to create a be.dat file for cv5 using NMC method for a domain covering peninsular India (IST = UTC + 05:30). Most research articles indicate that the 12 hour and 24 hour outputs valid at 00 UTC and 12 UTC have been used. Is there a reason behind this and is it mandatory to do so? Or would it be fine to use outputs valid at other times as well, say, 06 UTC and 18 UTC?
What will be the effect of using outputs at 06 and 18 UTC as opposed to 00 and 12 UTC?
Will the diurnal variation still be accounted for?
