different results with use_adaptive_time_step

Dear Colleagues,

I ran same cases with the only difference:
use_adaptive_time_step = .true.
use_adaptive_time_step = .false.

But the results are different, please see the attached files. Could you please kindly let me know the reason for this?

Stella,
We don't expect the same results when running a simulation with adaptive time step turned on, versus turned off. Because the model is integrating at different time step intervals, the results will be different.
