I have a question regarding the equation of potential temperature.

The equation of potential temperature is dTheta/dt+(Div.V*theta)=F_Theta.

Where can I find the explicit terms of F_Theta on the right? I have gone through tech notes and still cannot find any clue.

Thanks.

Hi,
F_THETA is a symbol which is used to represent forcing terms arising from model physics and turbulent mixing. It involves cumulus, microphysics, radiation, boundary layer, etc., and detailed calculation of this term depends on various schemes you choose for your case.
