Airflow animation in a WRF Cross Section

Post by Armeteo » Mon May 03, 2021 11:17 am

Hi, I see this animation on social media: https://twitter.com/myweather_ch/status ... 32195?s=21

Do you know how to plot this type of cross section with a WRF output file? Specially I am interested in particles moving that show the movement of air.

Thank.

I am not sure whether you are familiar with the NCAR NCL package. If so, you may take a look at the function here:

This function allows you to produce vertical cross section. After that you may manage to animate the plots?
