WRF help,
We seem to be having an issue with the land-surface model exactly at the equator (see the attached image) when using sf_surface_physics=4. There is a large discontinuity in many of the wrfout variables (we don't see this discontinuity in geo_em, met_em, or wrfinput files, or when we use a different surface physics). Any help on fixing this would be appreciated as we would like to use sf_surface_physics=4.

The output is located: /glade/scratch/ajensen/eagle_production/wrf/2009/ctrl/

Thanks in advance for the help,
Anders

We are aware of this issue. NoahMP uses monthly table values but switches the month for the southern hemisphere. It is obviously not realistic to have these season assumptions at the equator.

We will look into this issue and fix the problem. But it will take some time. Thank you for the patience.
