Do memory requirements increase with time execution?

Suppose I need to do a one-month WRF-Chem simulation and know using the same configuration (namelist configuration, inputs, and machine) with only a one-day simulation; I will have a time execution of 24 hours. Does it mean that for one month, it will take 31 days? Or isn't there a linear relation?

Thank you in advanced,

Verònica

Ok, thanks.

And what about the memory needed for each core to execute the simulation?

If my one-day simulation works well using 2Gb per core, the 1-month simulation will also work with 2Gb per core? Or maybe it will require more memory to execute?

Thanks in advanced,

Hi Verònica,

Memory requirements should not be an issue. I would suggest periodically writing restart files in case something goes wrong.
