Problem fixed. time_step in the namelist file was set to 360. I needed to cut it to 10 (might have been overkill, but that solved the problem, will try nudging it upwards).

Hi all, Finally got WRFDA to run, but now I"m getting a segmentation fault (rsl.error.0000) attached. I don't see an obvious time step change I could make, is there something else that might help? Thanks! Dan

Hi all, All fixed. Thanks again for your help. The issue had to do with multiple netcdf libraries installed on my system. I should have known, because I've run into this before, but in fixing one problem, I recompiled the system with the wrong libraries and that led to errors later on...

Hi Kelly, Here's the ncdump -h from my geo_em.d01.nc file. I notice that at the end, the "global attributes" section is missing exactly the variable that metgrid is looking for and failing to find. It's a little puzzling, because the grid size is certainly in there in the dimensions section...
