Climatological input boundary conditions for nested domain

Hi,
I have been running wrf simulation involving one parent domain (27 km) and one nested domain (9km). I want to force my boundary conditions in the east boundary of the nested domain to some climatological values at each input time(Variables to be considered -> U and V winds). But I have not found any suitable way to do that. Can anyone walk through the steps that needs to be done? I have used 2-way nesting with one input file for my normal runs, and ERA5 reanalysis data as my input data.
Thanks.

Hi,
Since the met_em* output files are in netCDF format, you can use some netCDF tools (e.g., NCO), or perhaps an NCL tool to overwrite the values in the locations you're interested in. This will force the real program to use those modified values instead of the ones your met_em* files currently use.
