continue run with different num_metgrid_levels in NCEP FNL data

Hello,

I am using WRF-Chem v3.7.1 to run the simulation in May 2016. FNL data was downloaded from https://data.rda.ucar.edu/ds083.2/. Met filles were generated using WPS v3.7.1

To have a continue run, the simulation was restated on 2016-05-04. The model stopped on 2016-05-11 because the num_metgrid_levels changes from 27 in met_em.d01.2016-05-11_06:00:00 to 32 in met_em.d01.2016-05-11_12:00:0. Is there any way to make the simulation continue when the num_metgrid_levels changed in met files?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Suqian,
You can save a wrfrst file at the time of 2016-05-11, then run WPS/REAL to produce wrfbdy using the 32-level FNL data. I believe this should work for restarting run. Please elt me know if you have any issue during the process.
