Hi Everyone ,
I have done some simulations over a 9:3 domain setting , but now i want to remove the 9km domain , and make the 3km as the parent domain , with the same spatial coverge , Can someone kindly help me with that . I am attaching my namelist.wps file below.

If you mean that you'd like the 3km domain to have the same coverage as your previous 9km domain, since the parent_grid_ratio between the 3km and 9km domains is 3, you should be able to multiply the values of the 9km e_we and e_sn, each by 3, to get a parent domain the same size as the 3km domain.

If this isn't what you intend to do, please provide further explanation.

Thanks for clarifying. In that case, you would need to go back to WPS and just move all the d02 information to the d01 column in the namelist, then rerun geogrid and metgrid (no need to rerun ungrib). Then modify your namelist.input in the same way, and run real and wrf again. Unfortunately there is no simple way to do this after the fact, unless you're interested in doing this by using the ndown program.
