Hi.

My wrf version is 3.6.1, and when I run real.exe, I get this error:

taskid: 0 hostname: h0201.para.bscc
------ ERROR while reading namelist time_control ------
-------------- FATAL CALLED ---------------
FATAL CALLED FROM FILE: <stdin> LINE: 10603
ERRORS while reading one or more namelists from namelist.input.
-------------------------------------------
application called MPI_Abort(MPI_COMM_WORLD, 1) - process 0
[unset]: write_line error; fd=-1 buf=:cmd=abort exitcode=1
:
system msg for write_line failure : Bad file descriptor

And I attached my namelist.input.

Thank you for your time.

Hi,
Apologies for the long delay in response while our team tended to time-sensitive obligations. Thank you for your patience. The issue is likely that you're using a variable in the &time_control section that was not yet valid in wrfv3.6.1. You can check the WRF/Registry/Registry.EM_COMMON file to check whether each variable exists in v3.6.1. I would first start with trying to remove "force_use_old_data." I don't think that variable was available until v4.0. If real.exe runs with that variable removed, then you know that was the issue!
