geogrid error

Hello,

I’ve been trying to make a test run of WRF-Fire on Cheyenne following this tutorial. I followed the steps pretty closely but ran into an issue when running geogrid. The error message is as below:

ERROR: Could not open $/glade/work/bowenw/tutorial/run_1/src/WPS_GEOG/topo_gmted2010_30s/index

The current path to WPS and namelist.wps is: /glade/work/bowenw/tutorial/run_1/wps
The geog_data_path variable in namelist.wps is: /glade/work/bowenw/tutorial/run_1/src/WPS_GEOG/
I also attached the geog.text and geogrid.log files if they are helpful.

Hi,
Try removing the dollar sign ($) from your path in your namelist and see if that helps.
