ICON Downscaling

Hi Friends!!
I am interested to downscale ICON model with WRF from 13 km to 4 km resolution using ICON-Global datasets.

I have tried both for pressure level data and Model level data.
The outputs are generated and looks to be underpredicted.

Please suggest Which will be better for evaluating rainfall - Pressure level or Model level data.

I don't know much of ICON data, and thus this is just a general answer:

If the model level data has higher resolution (which is often the case), then probably you should use model level data.

Thanks @Ming Chen,
Generally it is taken as you said,
I have tried both model level and pressure level data, Because, RAINC and RAINNC in output is very low as negligible.
Kindly anybody put your ideas on that, As there were less outcomes with that ICON model with WRF.

And I couldn't able to see any successful downscaling after addition of ICON to WRF, Is anything available please mention here which would be helpful for me.

Please see the attached script that can be used to download ICON data. Note that this is a pretty old script I used several years ago. Back then it worked fine. Hope it is helpful for you.
