land use category

Hi,

I'm working with nested domains in WRF and would like to modify land use properties (e.g., roughness length, albedo, LAI) for a specific land use category. However, I want these changes to apply only to the finest-resolution (innermost) domain.

What is the best procedure to achieve this while maintaining accuracy?

Is it possible to add a new land use category in the VEGPARM.TBL and apply it exclusively to the inner domain? If so, how should I go about doing this?

Values of these variables are specified in VEGPARM.TBL and read into WRF once wrf.exe starts. It is impossible to change their values only for the child domain and remain their old values for the parent domain. For the same reason, I don't think a new land use type can be added specifically for the child domain. These are my personal opinions, and let's see whether someone in the community have more ideas.
