In this PhD scholarship we are seeking a candidate with:
- strong background in mesoscale or regional atmospheric sciences
- a good understanding of climate and atmospheric processes, especially boundary layer meteorology.
In your work, you will:
- develop, implement and validate the coupling of CMIP5/6 model output and mesoscale models for producing time series of VRE production and other weather-dependent variables
- understand how future changes in climate influence VRE generation and its spatial and temporal co-variability
- work closely with other researchers in power and energy system modeling.
