Dr. Laura Condon at the University of Arizona is seeking a postdoctoral research associate to develop and test hydrologic simulations of the Continental US. The position is full time with an initial term appointment of one year (12 months), renewable depending on satisfactory performance for a total period of up to 3 years. The start date is negotiable and is available immediately. Applications will be considered until the position is filled.

The post doc will be responsible for advancing the existing continental modeling platform, as well as designing and completing long term simulations to investigate watershed function across the US. The postdoc will be expected help develop improved model formulations and pre and post processing tools. The postdoc will also contribute to workflow development for scaling analysis and model coupling, including connecting to WRF and WRF-Hydro.
Strong applicants should have experience with numerical modeling and coding, as well as strong communication skills. Experience with high performance computing and software development is also desirable.
