prec_acc_dt gives zero values

Hi

I'm trying to set the prec_acc_dt = 60 (mins) on my namelist but when I get the results prec_acc_c and prec_acc_nc variables are zero. I checked the accumulated rain values and RAINC is zero, RAINNC gives precipitation

I cannot find the mistake on my namelist, could you help me?

When you are seeing precip values for RAINNC, is it at the same time as the 60 minute accumulated variable?
Can you let me know which version of WRF you are using? Thanks!

Im not sure I understand your first question, but here is more information

The wrfout output is every hour and the prec_acc_dt is also one hour. I looked at the files and I start getting values for RAINNC after 8 hours of running and continues increasing after that, but prec_acc_nc is zero for all my output files

I am using the WRF version 4.5.2

Thank you for clarifying, and I apologize for my confusing question. I see now that it wasn't clear. But you provided what I wanted to know, anyway! Can you share the first 12 hours of wrfout* data for d01 (if any non-convective precip is seen in that domain in that time period - if not, then d02, or d03, if necessary)? These files will be too large to attach, so see the home page of this forum for instructions on sharing large files. Thanks!

I've uploaded the first 12 hours on D03 since the others I was saving them every day

I put them on nextcloud as indicated on the home page. The name is wrfout_d03_WRF4.5.2.zip

Thanks for sending those! I think I figured out what the problem is. The namelist setting for "prec_acc_dt" should be set for every domain. Since you're only setting prec_acc_dt = 60, it's only doing the calculation for domain 01. Try setting it to prec_acc_dt = 60, 60, 60 and see if that resolves the issue.
