I have recently been trying to run the MPAS coupled with CMAQ model. In the past few days, I have learned how to generate the static and init files for MPAS.
Normally, this process requires using init_atmosphere_model, namelist.init_atmosphere, and streams.init_atmosphere. However, a major difference between MPAS and MPAS-CMAQ is that there are no executable files like init_atmosphere_model in MPAS-CMAQ. As shown in the image below. Generally speaking, MPAS has two cores: init_atmosphere and atmosphere. However, MPAS-CMAQ only compiles the atmosphere core.
Therefore, do you have any suggestions or methods on how I can create the necessary MPAS input files for MPAS-CMAQ, similar to the test files provided by the USEPA official documentation?
