Pressure Decomposition

Hi all,

I'm running an idealized simulation to study the effects of buoyant and dynamic pressure to pyro cumulus clouds.

I'm relatively new and couldn't find
1) if WRF can calculate both these pressure types.
2) if I need a specific namelist configuration for these pressure types to be calculated.
3) If WRF doesn't calculate them directly how to go about calculating them myself from existing WRF output variables.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
Apologies for the delay in response. I wasn't sure of the answer, so I wanted to reach out to a colleague who knows more about these variables. They said that the WRF model has the hydrostatic and full pressure. They said that the difference may be the dynamic pressure. They aren't sure how buoyant pressure would be defined. It may need the reference state (PB). I hope that's somewhat helpful.
