Problem about down scale

Hello,
I recently ran a real-data case using WRF and now I want to downscale it to a smaller domain with a 7.5km resolution, based on data from data assimilation (DA) at 12km resolution. I found that ndown.exe can only handle integer ratios for downscaling. Is there another tool available that can help me achieve this non-integer ratio downsizing?
Thanks a lot!

Hi,
First I'd like to apologize for the long delay in response. We've been busy preparing for our upcoming code release and have gotten a bit behind in forum posts. Thank you for your patience.

Unfortunately I'm not aware of another built-in WRF option for downscaling. If your original simulation wasn't too long/large, you could just run a standard nested domain with the nest using the 7.5km resolution, and the parent being an integer multiple of that resolution. It may also be possible to make some modifications to the ndown code, but I'm not sure how difficult that may be.

Thanks for your suggestions. Now I'm turn to launch a 6km run instead, is it appropriate to run ndown.exe with an even ratio (2 for instance)?
