Problems building executables, look for errors in the build log

Dear all,
The compilation process of WRF went without any problems until tail -f compile.log. At this point, the system wasn't able to make the 4 executable files, so it showed an error message that said, "Problems building executables." I've included a screenshot of this message below. I have also included the two WRF files (compile.log and configure.wrf) in the attachments. I would be very glad if you can direct me in solving this problem"

Hi,
The issue is likely that you're using a newer version of GNU to compile much older WRF code. Can you try to compile the latest version of WRF (V4.4.1) and see if you still have the same issue? Thanks!

Hi kwerner,
Yes, there was an incompatibility between dependencies and WRF, but it has since been resolved.
Thanks

Can you summarize what you did to fix this? That way future users know the solution?

Hi,
My problem was with NetCDF, which didn't work with either WRF or GNU. I couldn't figure out how to fix it, so I used a different source to install it. I just used the script set that was prepared by Hatheway Will and it was really to the point, very clear, and I found it easy to install WRF and others on desktop platforms. I put the GitHub link down here.

GitHub - HathewayWill/WRF-Management
GitHub - HathewayWill/WRFHYDRO-Management

Note: I utilized Ubuntu 22.04.1, which is built up on a virtual machine.
Special thanks to Hatheway Will for creating such easy route :)

Thanks
