Request for Clarification on ERA5 Preprocessing using era5_to_int Code for WRF | I am getting error multiple time and unable to fix

I have encountered a few points of confusion and would sincerely appreciate guidance on the following:


  1. Surface Pressure Variable (SP):
    In the README table, it is noted that the code supports SP from variable ID d633006. However, I have access to the same surface pressure variable under d33000 (0.25° resolution). Is there a specific reason d633006 is preferred in your workflow, or can d33000 also be used reliably for generating the intermediate files?
  2. Warnings During Execution:
    While running the script, I observed warnings such as:
    • "SOILGEO is NOT being written to the intermediate file at level 1.0. Computing SOILHGT"
    • "SNOW_EC is NOT being written to the intermediate file at level 200100.0. Computing SNOWH and SNOW"
    • I am unclear about the implications of these messages. Does it indicate that some required variables are missing, or that an incorrect level or metadata is being interpreted? I have attached relevant log snippets below for your reference.

Due to this I am also getting error when running metgrid:
