Running sf_ocean_physics = 2 (3DPWP) with real TC case

Hello, I am trying to run 3DPWP with real TC cases. However, the run was never finished but hanged (it stop updating. with no error written in both rsl.error and rsl.out). The model still seems to be running, but I dont think it is, just hanging. I am using WRF in version 4.4.2 with WPS in version 4.4. I had tried using different versions of WRF before but would get the same result (hanging). Initial ocean setting I'm using data from HYCOM

I have attached the log files and the namelist of the case (BTW, the error in rsl.error.0000 is because I downloaded these files after killing the job)

Your job actually failed with the error messae in your rsl files:

forrtl: error (78): process killed (SIGTERM)

Your namelist.input indicates that you are running a moving-nest case. Please let me know if I am wrong.

I don't think the 3D PWP module can work with moving nest. Please try the folloiwng optons:

(1) turn off 3D PWP and see whether the case can run successfully

(2) activate 3D PWP but run WRF without moving nest.

Please keep me updated about the results. Thanks.

Umm... Like i had mentioned above, the error in my rsl files is because i kill the jobs before downloading these files. In other words (and i have checked), there are somehow no errors written in rsl files when jobs were still hanging.

Also, I have tried running wrf without coupling 3dpwp, and it will work.

I haven't tried without moving nest yet, but i do not think this will be the reason why wrf coupled with 3dpwp will fail (I'll update the result after)

i have replaced the rsl files (this time i downloaded them before deleting the job, so there's no forrtl: error (78): process killed (SIGTERM) )
