Running WRF Based on wrfout

I have successfully simulated meteorological results over a period of time and obtained the wrfout files. Now, I need meteorological data at a finer spatial and temporal scale. Can I use the existing wrfout as input to run WRF again to achieve this goal?

You can do something similar - adding a higher resolution nest in the parent domain, by using the ndown program.
