Hello Everyone,
I want to use urban_physics but I only have 1 urban class while URBPARM.TBL is organized for 1)Low density residential, 2) High density residential, and 3) Commercial. for which one should i set my urban parameters? Thanks for your help

Hi,
I don't think you need to worry for the urban types of Low density residential, High density residential, and Commercial. These types are specifically defined for NLCD landuse data. If you run WRF with MODIS/USGS as input, then only a single urban class is defined.

Hi,
Thanks for answering. If i want to run wrf with urban physics of SLUCM,BEPand BEP+BEM I have to set urban parameters in URBPARM.TBL. In this table only 3 classes are availabe. for me with 1 class of USGS which culumn should I enter my parameters?

So how do I run urban models with one urban category? i want to set building height,road_width,Surface emissivity of roof ,walls and other urban parameters for my urban area? Ming Chen

If you only have a single urban category, it will be treated as high-density residential. All other variables like roof level, roof width, road width, emissivity etc. will be determined accordingly.

Note that the values of these variables are more empirical and they could be different over different regions. In other words, you may modifytheir values for your specific case.
