Hello everyone!
I have a question. When running WRF with a polar stereographic projection and two true latitudes defined, does WRF ignore TRUELAT2 and only use TRUELAT1?
I'm using the WRF output files as input for HYSPLIT. When I try to convert the WRF output to ARL format using arw2arl, I get the following error:
ERROR: incorrectly defined polar projection in WRF!
TRUELAT1 does not equal TRUELAT2: -56.9850006 -90.0000000
TRUELAT1 defines the latitude at which the grid resolution is defined.
STOP 900
To fix this, I manually edited the metadata in the WRF output to make TRUELAT2 equal to TRUELAT1, and then arw2arl worked fine with WRF output modified.
Is it ok this solution?
Best regards,
Charlie
