I am having issues with the humidity levels in my simulation. Precipitation, specific humidity, and relative humidity are quite low during the initial time steps of my simulation. Additionally, as shown in the figure, there are significant differences in the specific humidity fields between different files. What concerns me the most is why, in the case of "wrfinput" and "wrfrst", there are humidity values over the ocean at certain pressure levels (925, 850, 600) but not at others (700, 500). The figure shows the specific humidity at the first time step (t=0) for the different files required to generate the simulation output (CORDEX-hist). Could it be due to a bug in real.exe?
Could you explain to me a little about how the real.exe interpolates the humidity as WRF input? Does real.exe interpolate specific humidity or relative humidity?
Thanks for the help!
