WRF runtime error

I have a few suggestions for your namelist.input settings:
(1) time_step =480
(2) radt = 30
(3) increase e_vert to include more vertical levels.

However, the inappropriate settings listed above in your original namelist are not the reason for the failure.
I wonder whether you have run REAL.EXE successfully? Can you check whether wrfinput and wrfbdy files are available in your running directory?

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your reply. I haven't tried the changes you suggested. However the following points may please be noted.
I can use time step = 480, but I generally use a smaller value than the maximum allowed one. It has never created a problem before. However will try what you have suggested too.
Same for radt = 30. I generally call the radiation schemes at 1 hour interval (radt = 60). It has never created a problem before. However will try what you have suggested too.
increase e_vert to include more vertical levels. Will try with e_vert = 50; however it is not clear to me why e_vert = 28 doesn't work.
Real.exe did not run. There are no input or boundary files created.

Anyway will check with the changes you suggested.

real.exe must be run successfully before wrf.exe can be run. what is the reason for the failed real.exe run?
