I am currently working with WRF-Chem and facing issues in prep_chem_source process. I downloaded global emission data from the FTP server (ftp> get global_emissions_v3_24aug2015.tar.gz
), but the available emission files are only for the year 2005 and my study period is for 2022 which causees the error like Fortran runtime error: Cannot open file '/home/sagar/data/WRF_CHEM/prem_chem/global_emissions_v3_24aug2015/Global_emissions_v3/Emission_data/GFEDv2-8days/C_2001_JD153.tx': No such file or directory
Could you please clarify:
1. The possible reason for the prep_chem_sources error and how to resolve it?
2. Whether updated global emission inventories (e.g., 2022) are available for WRF-Chem?
