YSU in idealized unstable PBL

Dear WRFHELP,

I'm trying to run YSU (and MYNN2.5) in simple, flat terrain. imposing a sensible heat flux from the surface HFX=250 W/m^2 (in module_sf_sfclayrev), with no wind neither Coriolis forcing.

However, while BouLac and ACM2 work, YSU and MYNN2.5 give me unreasonable results, especially for temperature (20 °C higher than expected, compared to LES) close to the surface.

Is this problem known?

Andrea,
We never did such experiments before. We need to explore the reason by repeating your case, and look into the details involved in the process. Unfortunately due to limited human power, we can no longer be able to do so. I am really sorry about o being able to provide help in this case.
