Zero valus of sensible heat flux at certain times

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am simulating the rapid intensification phase of Typhoon SAOLA in 2023 (from 2023082812 to 2023090300). I have set up three domains with resolutions of 12 km, 4 km, and 1.3 km and I am using a two-way nested setup, with one wrfinput file and WRF 3.9 version.

This case can run successfully without any errors. However, when I plot latent heat flux (LH) and sensible heat flux (HFX), I notice that HFX sometimes becomes entirely zero at certain times, meaning it fails to continuously generate valid HFX values. I have attached the namelist and the plots (Due to file size limitations, I've only included the plots for the first 12 hours). Thank you.

Thank you for uploading the files. Your namelist.input looks fine except that, please set

input_from_hires = .true., .true., .true.,

I don't have an immediate answer why HFX and LH are zero at certain model time. Did you check these variables in other times? Do they look reasonable?

In addition, WRFV3.9 is way too old. Can you update to newer version and try again?
