Capability of CM1 to incorporate advective tendencies into the simulations.

Has anyone tried to implement advective tendencies to their simulations in CM1? If so, may you provide some guidance on how you implemented this to your simulation?

Hi @vargasmartes. I'm probably missing something, but it seems like setting output_ubudget, output_vbudget, and output_wbudget in the namelist.input param9 section could unlock advection tendencies.

The horizontal and vertical advection tendencies are available in namelist.input.

These are the settings to turn on for each budget:
output_thbudget = 1,
output_qvbudget = 1,
output_ubudget = 1,
output_vbudget = 1,
output_wbudget = 1,
