experience with adding a module to wrfda

Hi
who has experience with adding a new da module to wrfda.
Although i have added two new modules (one for aeolus hlos and one for transformed retrievals as an alternative to radiance assimilation) i would like to double check my understanding of certain routines as the documentation is ambiguous.
