How cold global-simulation foring regional-simulation in MPAS

Hi all,
I just run a global uniform simulation in MPAS, I wonder how could I use the global simulation results foring a regional MPAS simulation? (Especialy how could I create the initial condition from global uniform simulation I have done). Thanks all of you if could give me some tutorial.
