MPAS Dyn core extraction

Hi All,

I would like to extract only the Dynamic core from MPAS for starting a new model.

1. How can I do this?
2. Someone finds KGEN. Is this a good option ? (KGEN: A Python Tool for Automated Fortran Kernel Generation and Verification)
3. Anyone have the DynCore already extracted and working on a benchmark? (Without physics, couplers, etc)

Hi,

It is possible to compile only the dynamic core and related code by commenting out the definition PHYSICS=-DDO_PHYSICS in the src/core_atmosphere/Makefile so that the physics will be dropped.
