Where can we find the metis graph-partitioning software? (Web site not active)

The link in the user's guide (p. 12) to the METIS software (http://glaros.dtc.umn.edu/gkhome/views/metis) doesn't go anywhere. It looks like the glaros.dtc.umn.edu site is no longer active.

I'm trying to set up a 15 km regional simulation over a small region for testing. I have the subset grid produced with the MPAS-Limited-Area program. The graph.info.part files available for this grid are all 240 processors or greater. I'm plan to run this regional simulation on a much more modest system so I need to be able to make something more modest.

Is there a better way to partition meshes? I am on NOAA HPC. Cloning and installing METIS from the above repositories may be possible, but it seems risky. Has anyone in NOAA already installed it? module spider metis does not find it on either Hera or Jet.

Also note that the documentation issue mentioned above has not been fixed in the 8.2.0 user guide.

More details: I'm trying to build a limited-area mesh centered over San Francisco. I had previously rotated the 15-3km variable mesh to that center. Now I used Limited-Area to produce the cutdown mesh, but it only makes graph.info. I need at least 32 cores, possibly more (multiples of 40 would be optimal for Hera).

Since posting the above, I have learned that the GSL MPAS app installs gpmetis, and I have used it successfully. So NOAA users can use that package and don't have to install METIS by hand. The command line in section 4.1 of the user guide seems to work, even though the source location for METIS is out of date.
