    Dear Dr. Ming Chen,
    I found that, after assimilation, the values of 10-m wind variable are unchanged. I assimilated (using 3DVAR method, WRFDA 4.2 version) the data to update wrfinput_d02 file. I found the values of 10-m wind speed in the original wrfinput_d02 and the new wrfinput_02 are the same. However, other variables, such as U and V at different pressure levels, have been changed.

    Dear Ming,
    I need to run WRF for Canada and update the urban land use land cover using a TIF file from the 2020 Land Cover of Canada. I can use GDAL to translate the TIF file to binary files, but I need to remap the numbers first. Should I use 31, 32, and 33 for LOW_DENSITY_RESIDENTIAL, HIGH_DENSITY_RESIDENTIAL, and HIGH_INTENSITY_INDUSTRIAL, or remap the urban pixels to 13?

    Dear Ming, I am using WRF-Chem to simulate global ozone. I proceeded to run wrf.exe for the simulation period from 2021-12-30 to 2022-02-01. However, the model crashed on January 12.     Hi, I tried to use open ECMWF data for forecasting and GFS data to fill in the missing data, I used pywiner to generate the WPS intermediate file for ECMWF, and metgrid.exe multi-source runtime to generate the met_em* file containing both GFS and ECMWF, why is it that the vertical layer of the generated met_em* file is 34 layers?     I need information regarding the MPAS model with the passive tracer experiment and have seen your methodology to initiate the new input in the MPAS model to compute and see the transport with the regional scale of this initialization. I treat any local GHG traces for CH4 as a simple passive tracer without looking at any chemistry thing. If you have any ideas. Can you help me with this? Please let me know. Thanks

    Hello! I ran into problems when running the Marine module in wrf. I set the parameter sf_ocean_physics = 1 and changed the parameters of mixture layer thickness and temperature lapse rate (oml_hml0 and oml_gamma). However, it is a pity to find that sst does not change during operation. May I ask what causes this and is there any good solution?

    I have also tried replacing the original data in WPS_GEOG using the convert_geotiff method, but I get the message "WPS_GEOG/lu_index/00001-00200.00001-00200, point (748, 214) has an invalid category of 0". However, the lu_index in the generated geo_em data has been successfully replaced, but LAI and others remain as 0. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you very much, and I look forward to your reply.

    Hello, I would like to replace the LAI, ALBEDO12 and LU_INDEX in WPS with another dataset. I have adjusted the data format to match WPS, but when I modify geo_em_d02.nc and run metgrid.exe, I get the error "ERROR: In read_next_field(), problems with ext_pkg_get_var_info()". If I modify met_em*, I can run real.exe, but when I run wrf.exe, I encounter a segmentation fault.

    Due to my LAI's tif data having 12 bands, I am currently using gdal_ Translate cannot convert tif to bil format correctly. How should I replace LAI data in WPS?

    Hello, I see your answer to this error: ERROR: Ran out of valid boundary conditions in file wrfbdy_d01. At present, I have encountered the same question. My start date is 2010-11-14-00-00-00 and end date is 2010-11-22-18-00-00. According to your answer, I set run days is 8 and run hours is 18. But my wrfbdy's end date is still 2010-11-22-12-00-00.
