I want to use 4dvar to forecast from 15:00 to 18:00 on July 3, 2023.
The observation data to be input is every 5 minutes in the range from 14:00 to 15:00 on July 3, 2023.
I could run 4dvar's da_wrfvar.exe and have WRF run until 18:00 and then rewind to 16:55 on the way back to 15:00. However, there was no pointer indicating the memory containing the data for the next time period at 16:55, and an error termination occurred.
I can see that the value of num_fgat_time calculated in 4dvar from var4d_bin, time_window_max and time_window_min set in namelist.input is 13, so it is working correctly.
What settings should I make to continue the forecast?
