aerosol to the cloud activation process (numerical simulations)

I am working on hygroscopicity so it is related to aerosol properties. Now my question is for working with aerosol wrf or wrf-chem which one will be better specially when I want to see changes in microphysics. How does aerosol represented in wrf-chem?
 
This question seems like it would be a better fit in the WRF Model / WRF Physics forum than in the MPAS-Atmosphere / Science forum, so I've moved it here.
