assimilate surface observations from MESOWEST

Hi,
I read in the WRF user guide that WRFDA reads in the “Little_R" format observations only.
Is it possible to assimilate surface observations from MESOWEST(https://mesowest.utah.edu) into WRF operational forecast using the WRFDA package?

WRFDA can assimilate conventional obs either in ob.ascii format (produced by OBPROC program with little_r data input)
or NCEP PrepBufr format. You need to convert your data inth one of two formats.
