Hi there,

When we run the model with sf_lake_physics = 1, is it normal for SST field to not be replaced by the newly solved lake surface temperature?
When I plot SST variable after running with lake module, SST is displayed according to sst_update = 0/1, not the lake temperature solved by the lake module.
However, there is a variable called T_LAKE3D. Is the first level (0) of that variable the LAKE SST solved by the lake module? If yes, is it normal for the SST field to be different than that?

Thanks in advance.

If lake physics is turned on in WRF. there is a specific llanduse type for lake point. In this case, skin temperature over lake is produced by the lake physics module. It is no longer treated as an ocean point. SST update only works for ocean points and won't affect TSK over lakes,
