Customize output for scalars

Hi,

I am wondering if it is possible to select certain scalar fields for output instead of the whole scalar fields. The purpose is to reduce the file size by removing unused fields.

For instance, instead of using "scalars" in stream_list.atmosphere.output, is there anyway we could use "qv", "qc" etc?

Right now, unfortunately, there is no way to write just a subset of the constituents (e.g., 'qv', 'qc', etc.) from the 'scalars' array. We could consider this capability for a future release of the model, though.
