ECMWF 9km

Hi everyone!

I’m wondering if anyone has managed to download the ECMWF data at 9 km resolution.
These datasets became open-access on 1st October 2025 (link).

I’ve found that Open-Meteo (link) provides the data, but not in GRIB format, so it needs to be converted before being used in WRF.

I also found it on GDEX (link), but the temporal range isn’t real-time.

I’ve tried downloading it using the ECMWFDataServer API, but so far, no luck.

Regards.

I asked, but didn't help too much.

They said that the data can be download from here (link), but I don´t find where are the real-time gib files.

You still have to pay for real-time access. A 9 km dataset is yet to be released (and will then also come with a 2-hour delay). I’m not sure about the situation with open-meteo.com. It’s possible that a privileged access was granted in that case.
