I aim to investigate the impacts of urban changes on climate using the WRF model combined with the BEP/BEM urban parameterization schemes. Specifically, I replaced the default variable with data from "Global urban fractional changes at a 1 km resolution throughout 2100 under eight scenarios of Shared Socioeconomic Pathways (SSPs) and Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs)". Additionally, I utilized the "World Settlement Footprint 3D - A first three-dimensional survey of the global building stock" dataset to replace and compute the URB_PARAM variables.
I have two key questions:
I have two key questions:
- Does WRF support combining variables from different datasets (e.g., using SSP/RCP-derived FRC_URBAN2D with WS3D-derived URB_PARAM)?
- When using the BEP/BEM schemes, could parameter conflicts arise from such mixed-dataset variable combinations?
